Brien Lundin, in the January, 2009, edition of the Gold Newsletter, says buy Lara Exploration Ltd., recently 26 cents.
Mr. Lundin said buy Lara three times between April, 2006, and July, 2008, at prices ranging from 85 cents to $1.67. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the three buys, the $3,000 investment is now worth $666. The newsletter editor continues to tout Lara as a well-managed company that is well-positioned financially. He is content about Lara's channel sampling work in Brazil at its Sao Lourenco tin project where a 20-metre section graded 3.29 per cent tin.
The price of tin has suffered less than the other LME-traded base metals according to the stock market guru.
When the company released its tin results, tin was down to $12,750 (U.S.) per tonne, which is less than a 20-per-cent decrease from one year ago.
To top it off, the stock market guru claims inventory levels for the metal are "decidedly low."
Moving on to Lara's Araguaia nickel project, its joint venture partner Teck Cominco Ltd. has, not surprisingly, declined to pursue a potential earn in.
Lara has decided to retain the project and use results from Teck's "not-insignificant drilling program" as a basis for further exploration.
