Lake Shore Gold Announces Details of First Quarter Conference Call and Annual and Special Meeting

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - May 1, 2009) - Lake Shore Gold Corp. (TSX:LSG)("Lake Shore Gold" or the "Company") today announced that it plans to issue its first quarter 2009 results on May 5, 2009, prior to its annual and special meeting of shareholders. The annual and special meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 4:15pm EST and will be held at the TSX Broadcast Centre in The Exchange Tower, located at 130 King Street West in Toronto. The meeting may also be accessed via a webcast available on the homepage of the Company's website at www.lsgold.com.

Lake Shore Gold will also host a conference call and webcast on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11:00 am EST to discuss the Company's first quarter 2009 performance.
