The Mobile Mass Notification System is an integrated, self-contained, ruggedized trailer that uses a telescoping/folding mast to deploy an LRAD 360 to reach a maximum height of 30 feet, which provides highly intelligible voice communications for emergency warning and mass notification with area coverage up to 5.3 kilometers. This system was developed to provide emergency warnings and communications for a number of applications including natural disasters, such as tornados, hurricanes and flooding, and for public announcements at large outdoor events, which is where this first unit has been deployed.
