11:51 AM EDT, 07/28/2017 (MT Newswires) -- Kirkland Lake Gold (KL.TO) climbed 5% in recent trade, having been reaffirmed with an outperform rating at BMO Capital with its target price increased to $16.75.

BMO said Kirkland Lake recently completed the merger with Newmarket Gold, and the company intends to explore its large land packages in Canada and Australia.

BMO boosted its EPS forecasts to $0.88 for 2017 and to $1.74 for 2018.
