I was at the Vancouver show, so I know the drill. I would love to know what is going on in Equador as well. Since Kinross has yet to produce an ounce of gold over there, it has not been exactly good for their bottom line yet either.

One thing that bothers me about Kinross is that they are not in the most politically favourable countries. Equador and Russia are red flags in my books, and Mauritania is not that far from Libya. I have no inside info that any of these areas are a problem, but I am sure that Kinross's minesites have a little to do with their recent price slide.

Also, if you talk to them about the hedges, can you find out when they put them on and when they were announced. I found out about it on the 2010 year-end financials, but that is just me. If the rest of the market found out at the same time, that might be another reason for the slide. Gold bugs do not like hedgers.
