You have to give credit to our old nemesis Alonso Soto, who always manages to report everything concerning mining in Ecuador in a negative tone. If we don't know any better, we can expect anti-mining riots in the streets of Quinto as we speak. LOL.
Seriously, I don't like the "wishy washy" law that requires you to negotiate with the government. This is not law from a legal definition perspective, since it is not uniformly applied. What's more, it does not give comfort to international investors to deal with a government with no fixed rules (or make them up as you go). I thought I would never say that, but the Kinross "raid" of ARU starts to look better everyday.
Meanwhile, the stupidity in Ecuador continues..........
