What I also find appealing on this deal, is the fact that this property bought from Teck is in between their 2 other mining assets in Chile, and the resources such as the mill is more "gravy" on the plate...

This acquisition is probably a more profitable deal in the long run as compared to even the ARU deal.

I know that I now feel more secure with Kinross stock, than I did when I had too much AUREF....And of course Ecuador's self destruction has only proved this again more recently with their delay of the new mining laws!

Kinross' global positions are so much safer, because of its diversification, than ARU was, with all its "eggs in one basket" as they were in Ecuador.

Kinross looks to be turning into the prime pure gold play in mining.
