Perhaps the only question I have is - did the Kinross results meet the market expectations?

This is key. We have so often see fantastic results only to see that followed by a sell-off and conversely heavy losses would trigger a big rebound. Yes, it's convoluted logic, but this is how the market is these days. You are supposed to deliver results based on "expectations". Good or bad notwithstanding, weird.
