The last few days have taken us to the upper line of the decending channel. The top was July 25, 2011, appropriately at 2.01. So we still need a continued move higher to break a six month trend.
Year to date we're down 13%. Gold, roughly speaking, is up 20%.
I enjoyed GC's commentary on the shameless pumper. But I must admit, the pumper has a point about year-end selling. Kimber might have rope-a-doped enough investors to think it'll always be hanging around the buck-and-change range, to be sold and re-bought at leisure.
One of these days they're going to come back to the well and find that KBX is two-fifty per share. Or so I hope.
But the real curiousity is volume. It was hearty in November's sell-off and this pop x 3 has been hearty as well. Can that mean anything but new money? If you're taking tax losses, you can't come back five days later.
