Perhaps for the same reason he chose to inspire the writing of the Bible in the manner he did. The manner in which the Bible is written searches the heart (inner person) and finds people's true motive for what they do. (Heb 4:12)

In life, people are allowed opportunities to cheat. Will they take them or walk in integrity?

Jesus made this intriguing statement about spiritual wisdom, ... “I publicly praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intellectual ones and have revealed them to babes." (Matthew 11:25) The Bible deliberately includes many seeming contradictions. Haughty or intellectual ones take issue with these "seeming contradictions" using them to debate and look no further. It allows them an excuse to follow their hearts wishes in wrongdoing. They look for (and to their mind find) excuses to avoid their obligation to be obedient to God's laws.

Both the Bible and the world as it now exists, give people the opportunity to choose. Most people take the easy way and follow their imperfect leanings. It doesn't have to be that way. (Proverbs 2:1-5)

Truth does not argue with itself. All "seeming contradictions" can be resolved when and if one knows the facts and circumstances.
