Message: Not Much of a Pullback: Something Powerful Here

CD, We've certainly not crossed over yet to the promised land with Kimber, but we're very close. There is a good group here, and I'd like to retain as many as possible for when we move onto the next great thing, which might be much sooner than most are thinking. I don't want the same thing to happen as happened about 18 months ago where angry people from other boards started coming over and planting seeds of doubt and creating derision. We're at a good place right now, on the cusp of something monumental. I want this to be a roundtable of like-minded, open-mined and thoughtful people. All are welcome, but still we have to maintain a semblance of order and high quality that the greater majority of the participants exhibit. It's much easier to do this face to face. On a board like this, it's much more difficult, because someone can sneak in and mess things up for everyone, even if unintentionally, before everyone else really realizes what's happening, kind of like a dad's ambitious and voluptuous secretary sneaks in and screws things up for a whole family before anyone else realizes what's happened.

In any event I took that comment that I was critical of, as being one intended to discredit the recent rise in Kimber and cast doubt on the Story. When one coaches a baseball team, there are certain kids that just can't be on the team. It's not because they are bad people. It's because they just mess up the chemistry. Sometimes they might even be good players, but their attitudes and inability to "get what's going on" disallow them from participating and adding to the overall achievement of the group. I guess what I'm saying is that I have grown somewhat protective of this group, in somewhat the same way I am protective of my family and my dog is protective of my kids. It's become a valuable asset to my life, and I really don't care to see someone come in and carelessly mess it up.

If any of you feel differently, please let me know. The line between protection and censorship can be a fine one, I understand. But the line between excellence and mediocrity, between abject failure and victory can be a very thin one too. You all know me. I intend to win this game, and I desire to surround myself with those who share similar sentiments. We are much closer to the endgame here than most people realize. Months, not years. The potential elephant that Jim talked about during Q-calls this weekend... That's Kimber. The game has gotten much bigger than most suspect, and will get much bigger yet. All the best, Bull
