Goldcarp, You need to chose your gurus very carefully. Buy and hold is not dead. Listen to Sinclair. You don't get rich trading in and out of markets. You get rich by taking a position based on your convictions and sticking with it. Sinclair does make the point that very few people are people with convictions these days, a valid point coming from someone whose life crosses many generations. Trading can kill you if you do not have a firm conviction about the overall trend of the market. In the words of Richard Russell, "You cannot afford to miss the big move." And if you do not understand the trend based on fundamentals, based on personal understanding of human behavior, you will inevitably miss the big move. Businessmen make money, i.e. merchants. Traders don't make money, they work for businessmen and add to their bottom line. Bull
