Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
From the Book of Isaiah, Chapter 1:
4 Ah, sinful nation, 5 Why should you be beaten anymore? 6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head
21 See how the faithful city 22 Your silver has become dross, 23 Your rulers are rebels, 24 Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, 25 I will turn my hand against you; 26 I will restore your judges as in days of old, Chapter 30:
9 These are rebellious people, deceitful children, 10 They say to the seers, 11 Leave this way, 12 Therefore, this is what the Holy One of Israel says: 13 this sin will become for you 14 It will break in pieces like pottery,
a people loaded with guilt,
a brood of evildoers,
children given to corruption!
They have forsaken the LORD;
they have spurned the Holy One of Israel
and turned their backs on him.
Why do you persist in rebellion?
Your whole head is injured,
your whole heart afflicted.
there is no soundness—
only wounds and welts
and open sores,
not cleansed or bandaged
or soothed with oil.
has become a harlot!
She once was full of justice;
righteousness used to dwell in her—
but now murderers!
your choice wine is diluted with water.
companions of thieves;
they all love bribes
and chase after gifts.
They do not defend the cause of the fatherless;
the widow's case does not come before them.
the Mighty One of Israel, declares:
"Ah, I will get relief from my foes
and avenge myself on my enemies.
I will thoroughly purge away your dross
and remove all your impurities.
your counselors as at the beginning.
Afterward you will be called
the City of Righteousness,
the Faithful City."
children unwilling to listen to the LORD's instruction.
"See no more visions!"
and to the prophets,
"Give us no more visions of what is right!
Tell us pleasant things,
prophesy illusions.
get off this path,
and stop confronting us
with the Holy One of Israel!"
"Because you have rejected this message,
relied on oppression
and depended on deceit,
like a high wall, cracked and bulging,
that collapses suddenly, in an instant.
shattered so mercilessly
that among its pieces not a fragment will be found
for taking coals from a hearth
or scooping water out of a cistern."
What has been, that will be, and what has been done, that will be done. There is nothing new under the sun. --Ecclesiastes
