Despite what your local Edward Jones rep will consistently tell you, the stock market is not a cash register for the long term. It is a dangerous beast that must be approached and attacked very carefully and, when necessary, with deadly force.

We are in the midst of an historic gold bull market right now. You are a rider of this bull and the bull DOES NOT like it or you. It is going to do everything it can to throw you off. It will torture you physically and psychologically until you give in.

Do not give in. You are right about this one.

I might just puke if I hear one more person tell me how the Dow is about ready to go back up again, to continue its long rise to infinity or wherever these guys think it is going to go.
