This will be an interesting battle today. If the Dow breaks down today, that could be really bad for the broader markets and great for gold and miners. Many people in high places know that. Still the question remains, how much firepower do the people that have pushed markets to move in certain directions in the past have left? And when will all their friends turn against them and scurry to save their necks?

This day will give us a lot of answers, because those trying to control this, some of them at least, have a sense that public sentiment is in danger of changing radically here. They do not want that to happen. If they can control the situation that will influence that, they will try today. If the PPT and their associates fail today, all will look very good for us, gold and Kimber. I'm not saying it will be all over. Of course, we all know that that doesn't happen until the fat lady sings. It's hard in life sometimes to spot the fat lady before she shows up on the stage. I don't see her quite yet.
