Great post, Bull. It's so true. One of my vices is ego and the desire for short-term performance. I want people to know I'm a great investor. But, I am blessed with patience which helps to offset that quality.
And I do hear their words of wisdom when I think that maybe I should chase that hot coal or solar stock: "All you're going to care about in a few years is how many ounces you own, how many shares you own. The rest is noise. I think of things Eric King and David Morgan have said. That, and the Livermore quote about making his best money sitting patiently, which is not the natural image I have of the boy plunger.
What else is working in this market? Not much!
