Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
I own both Kimber and Tyhee I think the points that Baires makes here valid ones. I would not like to see Baires banned from the kimber forum.
Investors in Kimber or any mexican mining operation need to be mindful of nationalism. I dont think its too big of a worry right now, but could become a worry when Mexico finally runs out of oil to export. Then the lack of national income could create social unrest and pave the way for a more socialist leader who may then make a grab for the mines.
My strategy is to wait for Kimber to prove up more resources and get bought out, or make the decision to go into production themselves before selling. Either one of those events should give a nice return on investment. I think/hope this will happen before 2012....which is around the time when mexico stops exporting oil and the political situation gets dodgy.
My strategy on Tyhee is to accumulate as many shares as I can around the 40c mark. I expect the PA to show great potential, but I am a little worried how the mine will be financed. I worry that there will be more dilution. So by accumulating as much as I can right now (thanks short sellers), then even after dilution I still hope to be left with a 0.1% stake in this company. Canada is perhaps the most politically stable region to own a mining company, which is why I plan to own Tyhee for the verg long haul. However, the Canadians are not without fault and may look to heavily tax mining operations in the future (nationalism or taxes....they both take money out of your pocket).
I personally welcome positive and negative points of view on both Tyhee and Kimber. Anything that drags me from my confort zone to think of an alternative point of view is good.
