Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
I was reading through James Dines book, Mass Psychology tonight, and a thought hit me. Is it possible that our government officials don't really even realize the scam that they're a part of. I keep listening to these guys talk up there on Capitol Hill about inflation and how to fix it, and I'm slowly coming to realize that they really have no knowledge about what they are talking about. They don't even know what inflation is. How can this happen? Easily. When I was in the Peace Corps, I taught English in a school in a United States Trust Territory where not another single English teacher in the school would , if given the opportunity, be able to read this letter. How could this happen? Once again, Easily. They were all government appointees, family members and friends of people in the government who needed jobs, so they got hired as school teachers so they could collect a paycheck from the US taxpayer for teaching in school. You think I'm kidding. I'm not. I would go up to a person who whose full-time job it was to teach English to eighth graders and say, "How are you doing today?" And he would look at me totally dumbfounded by this strange cadence issuing forth from my lips. So look at these ding-a-lings we've got in positions of power in this country. They are so stupid that they don't even realize that the whole fiat system was set up as a scam to enrich a certain class and they are supposed to be a part of that class. I don't think they are just playing stupid. I think they are demonstrating the real attribute. They've become so far separated over time from the original group of dirty-rats who started this whole thing, that that legacy is no longer theirs anymore. It's like a Frankenstein that's taken on a life of it's own, and they are the sons of the famous mad scientist thinking that their job now is to destroy his lasting monster. This is the most dangerous thing about telling lies. Eventually the one telling the lies starts to believe them himself, and he hands that false belief down to the next generation the members of which, lacking real knowledge, carry on on believing it until some sort of stark reality hits them so hard in the face that they have to reappraise their entire way of existence. When this type of thing happens, it is very hard on the unsuspecting. Our political system and everything that goes with it, including our money system, or system of weights and measures and trade, has gotten so screwy and been that way for so long, that even intelligent people, doctors, lawyers, engineers are no longer even questioning the basic assumptions that underlie its functioning. It's as if everyone is running around the emergency room looking for a stronger pain killer for the man with back pain and no one has had the thought to stop and take a minute and remove the knife the patient has thrust in his back up under his left shoulder blade. "What there's some blood on the floor. That must be from the last patient. Don't worry, sir, we'll get you some morphine right away. What's that, what are you saying? I'm sorry I can't understand you. You must really be hurting. I'm really busy right now, but could you just fill this form out, so we can treat you. Nurse, could you get some pain medicine for this guy. You seem upset, sir. You really shouldn't be. Don't you know that we have he finest medical system in the world? You're lucky you have the opportunity to get treated in America. Think about those poor Chinese. The best they can do is acupuncture. Can you imagine that? The pain of having all those needles stuck in you? Having something sharp like that stuck in your body? I bet that would really hurt. I'm really sorry about that blood on the gurney there. I asked the nurse to clean up after that last patient. You should be glad you're not bleeding anywhere. Sorry, that's my beeper going off. Let me take a look here...Oh, it's my broker. He's got me into Big Banking stocks now. I know that sounds risky, but they're way down. It's called contrarian investing. I wouldn't expect you to know much about that, being a lowlife and all. It's like the opposite of gravity, just as what goes up must come down, what goes down must come up. Oh I see you just fell off the gurney. Maybe I should invest in you. Get it? You fell down, so eventually you'll go back up too. Ha! Ha! Boy that sure is a lot of blood. Did you just come from a halloween party or something? That sure is a realistic prop you have there. Looks just like a real knife. Just lie there for a minute will you, yes, nice and still like that, I'll see if I can find the nurse with that pain medicine.
Remember: You will be successful not because you follow social mores or the crowd, but because your reasoning is correct. So therefore, be a good reasoner. Do good things for people. Continue to pay attention. Think for yourself. Study history. Read Ecclesiastes. Watch as as many episodes of the original Star Trek series as you can, and when you get to a dangerous crossroads involving your investing, just ask yourself, " If in this situation, what would James T. Kirk do?" All the best, Bull
