I wrote a post last night about the reasons I prefer to Kimber to many other juniors, and I need to reemphasize today that the difference leadership makes is this story is the difference between Apple Computer and Gateway Computer. If someone were to ask you, "What's the difference? They're both just computer companies." That would seem pretty stupid, wouldn't it?" Think about junior miners the same way. No one can say for sure who is going to come out on top when the gold bull market really starts t take off, but this is not a game of certainties. This is a game of odds and the purpose of the game is to improve your odds the best you can through intelligent research and application of wisdom. Let's get off Kimber for a second and look at First Majestic. Keith Neumeyer at First Majestic, is a first class winner. He knows how to pick people and he has a very powerful set of allies down there in Mexico already doing the work that must be done to make First Majestic into a world class operation. Actually it already is a world class operation, it's just that the world doesn't recognize it yet. That's the definition of value. Why isn't everybody else just doing what Keith Neumeyere is doing? The very simple answer is that they can't. This is like asking "Why isn't everyone else hitting home runs like Albert Pujols? They're all using the same bat." True, they are all using the same tools. Tools don't make a nation or a company great, but rather the use or misuse of those tools. Keep that in mind. Bull
