Creating value through Exploration and Development in the Sierra Madre of Mexico
Group:
I was talking with a good friend last night about the possibility that we are living in a very significant time. We just might be. How will this time period be remembered when we look back on it 20 years from now? These are good questions to ask, because they lead us into a more mature type of thinking. Schopenhauer once wrote, ‘The problem with life is that it can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.” In the same way, significant events in a man’s life are exceedingly difficult to understand going forwards. You all know as well as I do that events that you believed at the time they were happening would remain in your memory as significant forever, soon vanished from your recollection. As well, moments that seemed highly insignificant at the time you were experiencing them turned out to later have been some of the most significant of your life. This is an undeniable reality of human existence. We cannot escape it. All we can do if do the best we can to stay tuned in, so that we can adequately recognize the significant events occurring around us sooner than everyone else does. The fact that you are reading this indicates that you are somewhat aware that the price of gold is moving up and has been for several years. This is a fact. Why exactly this has been happening is a matter more left open to intellectual speculation. There are many theories, some that I support, some that I don’t. Where you stand on the issues of gold price manipulation or the gold bull market, supply and demand fundamentals or planetary alignments is not so important. Those views are yours, unique to you. The point is that some mixture of those views is correct. Figuring out which are correct and acting on those beliefs will be key to making you wealthy in the years ahead. How one goes about this process is also very individual, but a good rule of thumb is to reject nothing one sees until it is absolutely proven false, and even then revisit it occasionally. Examine things very closely and discuss them with others who are working to attain similar goals as you are and are working with an open mind as well. James Dines writes quite succinctly, “A fool believes what he thinks and rejects what he sees. A wise man believes what he sees and rejects what he thinks.” We are constantly bombarded with media trying to get us to think in a certain way. To the intelligent and thoughtful person, this way of thinking often goes contrary to what he is seeing, but because so many people are saying and hearing the same things, that thinker denies the reality all around him and believes the myth, ultimately to his own detriment. What he needs is not better vision, but the better ability to believe enough of what he sees to step out of himself and study it and understand what it means. Many people who fail are just a few psychological steps away from great accomplishments, but, for some reason fail to take the final steps they need to achieve enlightenment and possibly wealth. Oftentimes, their failure is caused by a lack of belief in their own right assumptions because they are surrounded by non-believers who haven’t their vision. Do not let this happen to you. You are at a good place, invested in Kimber. Do not doubt yourself or the wisdom and information that brought you here. Use the knowledge of other people here on this board. Ask questions. You know the old statement that there’s no such thing as a dumb question. It’s incorrect. Many questions are dumb. But I don’t care. Ask as many dumb questions as you want, I for one will do everything I can to answer them. The stronger this community, the stronger all the individual members will be. One guy brings information about short positions on the TSX. One guy brings info about drill results. One guy meets Gordon Cummings at a conference and gives his take. That’s what we are trying to do here, build a Kimber Mastermind group that will give us psychological strength when difficult situations arise in the times ahead. I encourage you all to stay involved and I hope you all attain great wealth. Bull
