Frank Smeenk.... "The scope of the possibilities being considered is certainly breathtaking!"
Moe mentioned prior to the trip that they wanted to come back with an offtake agreement which accordiing to the most recent Moe interview from Timmins Mining Expo they did not. He did indicate that there will be a number of trips back to China this year to try to secure said offtake agreements with those Chinese companies that need chromite.
Missing from the notice specifically what are the next steps and perhaps more importantly when. In the past KWG have announced major initiatives only to have them seemingly stall for months on end. Would be concerned if the apparent opportunity that now seems ripe is allowed to fade into the background allowing Noront to redeem ROF centre stage with the E/W road option. Wynne and the Libs may see a political opportunity to acknowledge this plan(as it also includes major partnership/participation of the Fn) and, as Frank requested, at least indicate consideration of Ontario's
Ring of Fire Infrastructure Development Corporation to indicate its willingness to provide a $1 billion guarantee as consideration for project financing terms from Chinese lenders.
There's still a long way to go but finally imo KWG has a substantive position to take the spotlight of the ROF.
Time(but hopefully not too much) will tell as usual.
