First, I took liberty to modify the title to make it it clearer that we are discussion ferrochrome refining using natural gas.
Second, you started out asking for information, and Goodheart was kind enough to provide you with a location to the topic. Even if he made a mistake and didn't give a correct link, he would deserve, at least, a "thank you" for trying to help out.
But, I am quite puzzled to see your reply: "quite obvious you don't have any knowledge of test results, are you worried about province scrapping use of nat gas??????"
That's a pretty harsh remark.
What is this outburst is about? Perhaps, you want to provide a bit more explanation for this. Also, please tell me if I read this all wrong.
- Gas test results: This is old news and it was available on KWG's website, and on the web at large, if you care to look. One link that discusses the results is shown below
If the link does not work properly, just Google "KWG chromite gas conversion", you'll find it.
- Province scrapping use of natural gas? This would be a political suicide, since most of the homes in Ontario (and in Canada) are heated with natural gas, the cheapest form of energy compared to oil and electricity.
If you only talk about chromite conversion then gas is much cheaper than the electric arc furnace which costs a lot of money to build plus a very high operating cost, compared to gas. That's the whole purpose of this gas method, i.e. making the conversion process economical. The industry would go for gas and the government would go along with it.
Please clarify your position.
