"...without a obstructive minority owner blocking and controlling the very financial viability of it. This is what Cliffs did which think has had an affect on the sp and the lack of substantive company and funding progress." (Fahrenheit451)

Let's hope that NOT would not follow this CLF example. Instead, working together in a spirit of mutual respect and with a common objective in mind would help advancing both companies. At least, having a friend is much better than having an enemy...and this works both ways.

An overiding concern for the development of the RoF is having a clear indication from both levels of government and the FNs that they are really interested in pushing for the RoF development. NOT and KWG are having enough problems on this front. Hence, they don't need to have an internal fight between the them, especially on small things which could derail the entire billion dollar project.

Spending a combined $2B to build the infrastructure for the RoF by the governments would be considered by (the seniors, those that have billions ready to invest in the development of the RoF resource) as a clear indication to proceed. Just like us, mortal retail investors, no major company would want to commit a significant sum of money up front for it to get stuck in the bog in Northern Ontario for several years. They have an option to invest their money elsewhere. As a reminder, Ontario just lost 1000 auto sector jobs.
