1. "So we don't need to appeal?", flyby.
- I am wondering about the same thing. But currently it's CLF decision to file a response to KWG submissions to the Appeal Court (CLF has 60 days after 2 March 2015 to do this). CLF can wait until the last minute to do so, or it could drop the case anytime by notifying the Court that it will not file a response. Not sure how the Court would react to this...but the court can just go on and consider what KWG has submitted for its Appeal of the Appeal without any input from CLF, and come down with a ruling. What about the court costs for this saga from day 1 when CLF filed its application for an easement (which is no longer needed, or the easement application and the subsequent legal proceedings are now transferred to NOT?). What a mess. Not sure if NOT wants to get into this mess. A simple guess for this would be: This is CLF who started the legal proceedings, hence it would be up to CLF to come up with a closure, drop the case for the reason that it does not have any chromite deposits which would required the easement for the road. What about the consequences for this legal mess? It would not be a surprise to see KWG suing CLF for causing loss of business opportunities. This could end up with an out-of-court settlement, since CLF does not really want to face too many court cases (Bloom Lake).
2. The $20M CLF fire-sale deal with NOT: This is just for the land claims (and the deposits) in the RoF. Nothing has been said about 111M KWG shares in CLF subsidiary holdings. Does CLF want to hold this back for paying KWG (for peace)?
3. Yes, it looks like NOT and KWG merger is coming, since there is that 30%BD and 80%BH waiting in the wing, along with PRB (Probe Metals) BC which has 10Mt of high grade chromite along with the real estate around BT and BD which is required for transportation corridor and ore storage facilities (see BT mine plan proposed by CLF).
Many loose ends to tie up, but probably not too difficult to do if there is a will to cooperate.
