There is a note (in a box) on the map that says "with potential connection to communities East of Pickle Lake". Looking East, Webequie is some 50km from the proposed line along with a couple of other FN communities who have the $3/4M grant to study the road.
Since a main 230kV line will be done first to Pickle Lake, the RoF communities may want to take the initiative to form a similar venture (these 20 FN communities formed a partnership with Goldcorp) and start building while waiting for the main line to Pickle Lake to complete. In other word, don't wait for other to do it for you. In addition to the road, the $3/4M corridor study could include proposal for power transmission line and high speed communication links.
The Pickle Lake connection would have a better chance to be completed sooner than the North Shore corridor proposed by the other FN wanting to build the RR (more expensive) and transmission line from Quebec. It would be cheaper provide the Ontario gov is prepared to let cheap electricity flow into Ontario.
