In order to ensure a growing economy we need to spend on important projects, such as rail and road construction and upgrades.
It isn't enough to state an intention, these projects require action now, while interest rates are low.
For example, the Ontario Northland Rail needs action, a firm decision on new freight routes and a start on construction of a line to the Ring of Fire area via either Nakina north or Timmins eastwards.
This would open a vast revenue and job creation flow into the local economy, mostly First Nations, and the Provincial and National economy, firstly during construction of needed infrastructure to the area, and then during actual mining.
Other initiatives, such as transportation in urban areas, are needed, but will not bring such immediate and tangible returns.
