Despite the fact that SA has modern smelters that would significantly reduce gas emission, the unreliable supply of electricity has forced SA to export more raw chromite to China which has much older furnaces that spew out a lot more emission.

Perhaps, Frank should team up with Canadian natural gas producers to sell the idea of their patented (or patent pending) direct gas reduction method to China. That would also help our gas industry shipping LNG east to China (and west to S. Africa, if SA needs gas, and Europe), rather than south to the USA which does not seem to need Canada gas anyway.

Has anyone see a recent TV commercial where a lady was talking about the USA as #1 gas producer, and soon to be #1 in oil production as well, thanks to shale fracking operation?...and of course, Obama said “America is No. 1 one in oil and gas ”, link below

One would expect that the anti-fracking folks would come out in force with porotests or TV counter-ads, but there is nothing, so far.
