GM,
In a previous post rj indicated that a possible reason for CLF to continue with appeal proceeding is to show that its chromite assets has a transportation route for getting the stuff out to the market. This is exactly what KWG and other companies would like to show to potential partners as well.
With an intention not to proceed with the RoF development, the best way for everyone would be to get an out-of-court settlement and to present the esker corridor is the best transportation route for chromite (a combined RR and a small service road which would be good for all development of the RoF resources) and business development of Northern Ontario FN communities.
In addition to just concentrating in the sale of assets CLF could consider, as an option, a JV with KWG and use the package as an incentive to attract a major, or two, who would have the money to fund the development the RoF. There are many variations for CLF to get some of its investment back, as long as there is a genuine interest to have this stalemate resolved for a win-win (rather than a win-lose, or lose-lose) for everyone.
