If this goes through, and the ONR changes hands, the ROF connection will be several years down the line, with a port to be built first it seems. That is if the emphasis remains on routing business through the Mushkegowuk territories.
Maybe the KWG esker corridor will still feature, as this route is likely still cheaper to build than a route to the east or north-east, with muskeg and Canadian Shield to contend with.
Though a KWG gas reducing furnace could be built in Timmins, that would be a separate operation entirely, and for all I know, cheap Quebec Hydro could make an electric smelter viable in Moosoonee.
New possibilities are exciting.
