Does anybody know why the province of Ontario doesn't have a similar provincial investment agency (or what it would be called) ??

From the article: Montreal-based Investissement Quebec provides loans, loan guarantees and equity investments to companies. It had investments of about C$2.7 billion as of March 31, (2014 I suppose).

I mean, both provinces are run by Liberal governments so would it be inconcievable to imagine that the province of Ontario could/would invest in KWG, given the fact that KWG does more for creating jobs in Ontario (RR-study and gas patent) than anybody else.
