G&M article says: "In an interview, Ontario Infrastructure Minister Brad Duguid said a list of projects will come from the province, but that it is “unlikely” to include the Ring of Fire."
Presumably, Minister Duguid's responsibility would focus on the infrastructure around the Toronto area, and the EW corridor (Hamilton/Tornto/Oshawa) from this seat of power? and the RoF responsibilty belongs to our Minister Gravelle (as I recall reading Premier Wynne's "Dear Minister" letters. Where was the Minister responsible for the RoF? Any comments from him with respect to his colleague Duguid's statement..."unlikely to include the RoF".
It would take less than a week (some of us here can probably do this in 2 days) to put together a proposal for the Fed to match the fund. It would be unrealistic to just ask the Fed for $1B blank cheque without any concrete proposal.
