Back a few years ago when CLF showed interest in developing a North American supply of ferrochrome the estimated annual N.A. demand was around 500,000 tonnes. That's why they tried to gain a monopoly of supply and shut out competition such as KWG et al.If someone was to establish a N.A. stainless steel industry the demand in tonnes would obviously increase and hopefully there would be increasing demand from overseas buyers due to all of the production constraints you listed.
