Wrt to cost savings, it's a no-brainer for using gas directly in conversion process. Since electricity production (with thermal plants using oil, coal, gas, peat, or whatever, in the burner to produce stream for turning the steam turbine and the electric generator), would lose 2/3 (67%) of the total energy input, as dictated by the law of physics. This is right off the bat.

And then, as you have indicated (Sankey diagram), 40% of the energy in an electric-arc furnace is used to heat up the charge to the required temperature. Electric heating is not cheap, as we all know (try to heat the house with electricity and one would see very quickly when the hydro/electricity bill arrives).

I would say, Franks has something which is real and would contribute greatly to the value of KWG, especially when there is a good prospect of royalty flowing in from other companies for using this KWG energy efficient technology.
