Black Horse deposit has an Inferred Resource Now 85.9 Million Tonnes @ 34.5%
My take based on the NR, excerpt below (underlined mine):
"KWG Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KWG)(FRANKFURT:KW6) has filed an international patent application under the Patent Cooperation Treaty. This will provide KWG with the right to file patent applications in over 140 countries around the world in order to secure its rights to its new method of refining chromite ore into ferrochrome by means of natural gas. The disclosed subject matter of this PCT application is supported by results of ongoing metallurgical tests being conducted on behalf of KWG by XPS Consulting and Testwork Services.
KWG has received expressions of interest in creating two strategic alliances:
The parties are mutually exploring terms for offtake agreements for such products that could support future project financing facilities. These plans are being developed based on the commercial potential of the new method of refining chromite ore into ferrochrome by means of natural gas disclosed in the patent application. The customized cast billets contemplated for production at the proposed casting plant could become an export vehicle for the combined content of Canadian chromium, nickel and iron and the hydro-electricity and natural gas consumed to produce them."
1. It looks like Frank has some serious global deep-pocket backers, one steel and the other ferrochrome;
2. KWG has proposals from backers on various aspects: engineering, construction of facility, and marketing end products;
3. The value-added custom-made cast billets would satisfy government's requirements for creating jobs in Canada (as opposed to just exporting raw material);
4. It's understandable to see atural gas mentioned, but is this about hydro-electricity? Something else is in the work?
5. The portion in bold in the except is interesting: Financing would include acquisition of CLF chromite holdings (14%KWG, 70%BD and BT, and perhaps PRB/BC too)?
The crystal ball seems to say: Everything would be included in one one sweeping deal.
