Having watched the webcast today....and having followed this story since 2007..this pretty much sums it up...
"The money is contingent on the budget passing. Conservative Leader Tim Hudak has unequivocally stated he won’t support the budget under any circumstances and has called on the NDP to bring down the government and force a June election."
Therefore, it comes to this...if the NDP backs the budget...
"The Ontario government is providing $1 billion to develop transportation infrastructure in the Ring of Fire."
“That is absolutely a commitment we expect to be matched by the federal government,”
"Deloitte’s marching orders are to set the timelines for making decisions, set the corporation’s guiding principles and “seek consensus” on next steps."
If, on the other hand, they do not...and force an election....and assuming the PC win.....we could get this...
"A Progressive Conservative government would back an industry plan that could see work begin on an east-west road into the Ring of Fire as early as this fall"
“We believe there's a quick win here, and that's the Noront Resources solution.”
To sum it all up....Politics
