Right, the feds don't much care who is in power in Ontario. The Fed Cons, remember, are at least partly the Reform Party, and this at the top, and so have a strong bias against Ontario as against The West, in my opinion.
Nevertheless, they can't ignore the ROF. They may delay, and ask for every i to be dotted before they actually give Ontario any cash, but eventually they will climb in. One point to remember, the money promised will not be all at once, but spread over several years. There will be all kinds of conferences and speeches and studies before the shovels hit dirt if only the govts are involved. There may be a start on an east-west road by fall, as this will cost peanuts compared to the bridge building for road or rail on the north-south esker, not to mention the jostling for juicy tenders etc.
I have a feeling the Cons would like to have CLF back, as they love big companies and also could then say the Libs dropped the ball, and we got those Sudbury jobs back.
That is irrelevant to us as KWG shareholders. More important will be any kind of transport, road or rail, that can legitimately allow the minerals in the ROF to be exploited. That will float all the boats, and may allow KWG a listing on the major exchange.
