Hello Hoov
So, apart from the rough travel, your PDAC attendance was good.
I have seen the "new" proposal for a combination of rail plus various roads coming out of the rail backbone on my computer screen, but I forgot to hit the "screen capture" button. Usually I am quite quick with this...but may be due to multi-tasking this was not done later.
This map could be in some presentation when somebody (ONTC perhaps) was talking about transportation infrastructure for the RoF wrt to their presentation to the government on proposed business plan for Northland (instead of divesting the rail service).
I still can see this map in my head (but there is no printout, as proof). The RR spine (from S to N) with various lines coming out to various junctions, one of which is Marten Falls (to please Chief Noonias who seems to like roads, even if it`s ice roads) and others heading to the West side of the RR (to please other chiefs on that side). My impression was that these are roads connecting the RR to various junctions were to serve the communities. These junction would serve as staging areas and parking lots for cars...local people can park the cars and hop on the train to go shopping in Toronto, or take the cars along with them by putting them on the train). But, I did not think about building these roads first to initiate the RR construction from many access points (instead just from 2 ends, South from Nakina and north from the original NOT E-W road proposal from Weberquie Junction to Pickle Lake.
I will e-mail Bruce asking for this map. It would be an additional measure if someone call and ask him to post that map on KWG Gallery.
