From my standpoint the Cliffs news is very good news for us KWG longs...why you ask...because with Cliffs making this announcement any large company that wants to take a hold of the Chromite in the ROF has a much easier time then before this announcement. Though Cliffs may just be saving costs and still wants to play in the ROF sandbox, in my opinion they have also put a for sale sign on their Chromite assets (and we know they need cash). If I was a large company, I would get an option agreement with Cliffs re. their chromite holdigs, which would be contingent upon a successful KWG acquisition. I would then launch a takeover bid for KWG, if it was successful then I would exercise the option to buy Cliffs' properties. Once these two things are done, I would go buy Probe's Chrome asset and offer to buy Noront's Chrome asset. I would then be able to control the entire ROF chromite assets. It is becoming quite clear that the ROF corporate landscape will change in the near future.
