Black Horse deposit has an Inferred Resource Now 85.9 Million Tonnes @ 34.5%
Let's get one thing straight- Cliffs talks about walking away from a $3.3 billion project that they claim is very profitable, and is good for the Province because they won't spend let's say $350 mil (about $0.40/share per KWG share) acquiring KWG. This equates to 10% of the project cost. But the $350mil is not a" cost" but it is an "investment"- they would get this back and earn a great ROI on the investment because they would own the rights to the railway lands and be able to charge others just like Kwg can do today, as well they would get 80% of BH and the remaining 30% of BD.-which could be huge.
But instead of looking at dollars and cents, they want to do what they have done best to date (and the only thing they seem to know how to do), and try to get the Province to give them handouts. Now they have their "puppet", Moonias also crying foul. If Natives want to be taken seriously they should try to act the part, I for one have lost respect for Moonias and his group, and hope and expect that other native groups will act more sensibly. Maybe some elders in Moonias group can talk some sense into him, so they back the right group and don't continue to back a lame horse.
So when you look at the facts, you realize that Cliff's is not going to walk because of an additional 10% investment. They will instead either do a deal with KWG or just acquire KWG and be in control of their own destiny.
Some people think that Cliffs does not have the money and/or will to complete their ROF investment, what is clear to me is that anyone who buys out Cliffs ROF properties will realize that buying out KWG for $350mil will be the easiest decision they would have to make. It actually may turn out that they just buy KWG and leave Cliffs with its two properties for a later acquisition-in other words freeze out Cliffs just like Cliffs was trying to freeze out KWG. I guess one who lives by the sword may die by the sword.
