Disclosure: I was lucky enough to sell my FWR at the peak and my NOT over $2 on the way down. Since then I have been on the sidelines because I suspected it would be a long time before the politics got sorted out.

For those who think KWG has won a victory by stopping Cliffs from using their claims for a road it is a pyrrhic victory. Why because Cliffs is right that the cost of a railway at this stage is prohibitive. The only way rail makes sense up front is if gov't pays for it. As Bill Boor says ...down the road when several companies are operating at ROF perhaps they can jointly afford a railroad and still make money.

Yes KWG has thrown a monkey wrench into Cliffs plans and perhaps forced them to negotiate but at the moment this is a dance with all the stakeholders jockeying for position at the expense of the economy of the Country.

Most people in Southern Ontario don't understand what the development of the north can do for the economy and are still stuck in the Golden Horseshoe mindset. Therefore the government can pusyfoot around and play politics with all the stakeholders. This treding water will continue for several more years before there is any movement on infrastructure for the ROF.

Sad but true.
