There is a notable and seemingly ongoing dumping this morning through BMO... Is it the start of a larger sell order?
Remember that BMO was Cliffs' retained advisor for the SPQ/KWG bid in 2010 as was stated in this May 2010 NR ...
I believe that Cliffs would not want to make a bid without being bogged down again in the insiders and control security requirements (FMV valuations, etc...).
If Cliffs wants to take a chance on KWG (hostile or friendly) it can be strategic and viewed as a good timing to depart now from its over 10% position, with a side effect of pulling the SP down... I don't know if Cliffs is required to disclose its sales as an insider (we'll know this soon if this is the case).
Just speculating guys, but : is there something in the air?
Cliffs is certainly highly pressured at this time to decide what to do with their RoF properties following the surprising Mining Commissioner's ruling. They cannot afford to remain silent, and the appeal delay is ticking... Any other clues?
We will have some fun here I think in the following weeks...
