goodH,
Excellent and well thought out post!
The bit about "Kwg has stated that they have inhand a proposal from noront for a joint mine use plan." is interesting. Could you provide a reference/link?
Agree with you that KWG has a total and valuable package for a major:
- deposit (could be joint with NOT chromite deposit and Ni...the 2 components a stainless steel producer, like Baosteel would like to have along with its Fe, yes they do have a lot of that too);
- CCC, transportation corridor claims;
- key player in the RR building/financing and integration with the ONTC;
- good rapport with the FNs
- has a picture shaking hand with PM Harper (1st pic in Website/Photo Gallery), ...can't beat that!; and the bonus...
- diamonds, when DDI has an opportunity to drill that kimberlite pipe across the road from De Beers Victor Mine.
It would be nice if the value-added stainless steel can be made in Canada using chromite (and Ni) from the RoF and Fe from Quebec. Results: Many jobs, and tax revenues for the governments. If a major comes along proposing such a scheme, then it would go down well with everybody.
