The Deputy, thanks for mentioning myself as a hub leader. However, I feel that I am currently not qualified for any sort of informal or formal leadership position along the lines of what has been discussed.
To give you some background about myself, yes, I have some education in my past. I did a BComm at Mount Allison (where Wes of Noront graduated shortly before I did). I also have an MBA, and I'm about a year from finishing a pair of masters programs in music. And to round things out, I'm a few undergrad courses away from additional degrees in a BSc (math/CS) and BA (history/Spanish). Lots of education, but nothing that would qualify me for being a suitable ringleader for this sort of venture.
Although I am comfortable with a role as one of the hub leaders, there are much more knowledgable persons out there. I've only been invested in KWG off and on since 2007. My father was a geologist, and he is the one who sparked my initial interest in both KWG and Spider. He was lucky enough to hold a bit of Freewest during its takeover. I had some SPQ during the 2010 shenanigans.
My lack of time to make a commitment is an additional deal-breaker. I work in the reforestation industry, so during the summer months I'm essentially off-the-grid for several months. I work a 110 day (straight) shift every summer, usually 5:30am to midnight. I only occasionally pop onto the internet to see what the outside world is up to. I was informed a few days ago that there is a set of Olympics this year. I guess I should have known that. Working on a satellite internet connection and living in the bush crimps a person's knowledge of what's happening in the world around you.
If anyone really wonders more about me, go to a Canadian website called Replant and read carefully through the "about us" page (link on the top right). And if you're bored this weekend, go through some of the photo galleries.
I fully believe that Keep Digging would be a great person for the conceptual position at hand.
Enjoy your weekend everyone ...
PS: I'm originally from Nova Scotia, not Kamloops. But I worked in Kamloops for a few weeks in late May and early June. Interesting shot-in-the-dark.
