KWG Share Buybacks/Cancellatio...

Black Horse deposit has an Inferred Resource Now 85.9 Million Tonnes @ 34.5%
As I recall, management has set aside a sum of money ($0.5M?) to buy back KWG shares for cancellation. Previous posters on this board and the other board has indicated steady buying, and at the rate KWG management has been buying they would blow the $0.5 M (to raking in some 8.3 M shares) before the Annual and Special (anything special here?) Meeting in June 2012.
Apparently, they have not cancelled all the buyback shares (probably just a small number of shares at the beginning).
Questions:
- Why all the buybacks in fast and furious rate, and hoard them shares...what for? (my guess: they may be handy in a vote?)
- there is a bit of uptick of the SP today (to $0.065, wow wee!), due to the buyback pressure?
- Anyone knows how many shares from the buybacks they now have in their war chest? An extra few millions shares may become handly, but perhaps management would want to know how many share we now have in our share count block (68.70M w/o the wts and 72.81M with wts, as of 1 April 2012). In addition, we have an additional contribution of 5.285 M shares during April - May 2 (I will published the share count soon, hence if you have more shares to be counted in-box me).
Assuming an OS of 674 M (as stated on KWG website) our count 68.7 + 5.3 = 74 M (w/o wts). 74/674 = 10.979 = say 11%.
Care to fill in some gaps (buyback shares management has not cancelled)? These shares are still under their control, hence will add to the 17.9M from the last voting results). I would speculate that management is preparing for some kind of a vote during the upcoming meeting. Any rumours?
