Message: Re: Interview with the Ontario premier yesterday re ROF

Some key points were addressed

- The RR: $35 B planned for development of infrastructures in the next few years (3yrs?) including the corridor up to the RoF. When pressed by Barry about the percentage of the $35B for RoF, the Premier said "significant". I would call something about $1B would be a reasonable amount and considered as a significant contribution from Ontario. This plus the contribution from the Fed and other stakeholders.

- The Premier mentioned CLF, and Ontario is waiting for willing proponents to show their cards.

- Processing and Refining were discussed. It would appear that the Premier unstood that company has to make profit and maximize its return, hence Ontario would not play only a modest role in the final site selection for the refinery. And of course he will want it to be loacted in Northern Ontario.

Overall, not bad an interview. The Premier took a conservative approach, but it sounded like there would be something for RoF in the up-coming budget. I like his word "significant", but let's not jump with joy... yet (show me the beef).

Go Ontario, go.
