Maybe i just missed it,but what that article DOSEN`T tell you is,that as of this moment,China controls 90-95% of the worlds production and export of Rare Earth Metals(REM).

I`ve had some dealing in a REM stock,Molycorp (MCP) NYE for some time now,as well as some junior REM start ups on the TSX.

Caution is the word most often associated when dealing with REM,as the market has yet to establish where it fits in,(according to them)making it a VERY volatile ride from day to day.They know where it`s going to be,but they`re sure not going to tell you and me just yet.

One thing is for sure.The world now depends on REM every bit as much as it depends on oil.And China controls most of what we use.So far.

To see how dangerous the situation can be,Google what China did to Japan concerning REM,not that very long ago.They cut off export to Japan for one month due to bickereing, over whatever,and sent Japan into a financial panic.
