Hybrid Air Vehicles has first civil customer

Discovery Air Innovations of Canada has agreed to purchase a number of vehicles capable of lifting 50 tonnes and making way at 100 knots (185 km/h/115 mph)

Always thought these vehicles were capable of more. This company is making progress.

I don't seriously think they are a viable option for ore or concentrate transport, but for communities up north, a very good idea. They don't need as much landing space as a plane, and can lift bigger loads.
