Compared to S. Africa those all still apply.

Canada is 'mining friendly' has a 'stable government' and a 'ready excess of cheap power' when compared to those same conditions as they presently are in South Africa.

That doesn't make conditions perfect, just better. No-one here is talking about seizing all mine assets, the PCs, NDP & Libs are somewhat different to the ANC et al, and CLF is posturing to get the best deal they can on costs.
