TORONTO, Feb. 1 /CNW/ - Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. (NYSE: CLF; Paris:
CLF), announced today that it has applied for a decision from the
securities regulatory authority for Ontario, the Ontario Securities
Commission, as principal regulator, that it is no longer a reporting
issuer in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Cliffs
Natural Resources Inc. is not a reporting issuer in any other Canadian
jurisdiction.


If the requested decision is made by the Ontario Securities Commission,
Cliffs Natural Resources Inc. will cease to be a reporting issuer in
British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec and will no longer be a
reporting issuer in any jurisdiction in Canada. Cliffs Natural
Resources Inc. will continue to file all continuous disclosure reports
required under U.S. securities laws, and will continue to deliver to its Canadian securityholders all
disclosure that it is required to deliver to U.S. resident
securityholders.
