Black Horse deposit has an Inferred Resource Now 85.9 Million Tonnes @ 34.5%
A little DD on this NR from KWG released yesterday. Falconbridge Xstrada Processing Support Chromite Metallurgy Set-up. This complex process is not to be confused with simple assys that were performed on KWG core samples. Assy tests only determine basic chromite content in the rock. Mr. Arthur Barnes, who was mentioned in the NR yesterday is from South Africa and is a highly respected chromite expert who is right there in Ontario. I will try and explain what they will do in Falconbridge -
Chromite Ore Production Block Diagram -
Mining - Primary Crushing - screening (goes to 2 stages) Coarse,Fines -
Coarse - Dense Media Separation - Lumpy Ore
Fines - Spirals Beneficication Plant - Chromite Fines
From Dense Media Separation & Spirals Benefication Plant, we get tailings.
Process Modelling and Simulation
Lab Scale Furnaces - From a base of sound mineralogical knowledge, processing network can be designed and carried out in the SHORTEST POSSIBLE TIME. (caps mine)
Chromite Ore Characterisation Mineralogy & Processing
Qemscan Quantitative Mineralogy - Automated mineral measurements are used to qualify and characterize chromite and associated sulphides, PGM`s and gangue(worthless rock associated with economically valuable metallic minerals).
Cameca Electron Probe Microanalyzer- Checking all elements, mineral compositions for calculated assays and accurate metal deportment.
As you can see, KWG are going all out to prove up the value of this resource and any comments, including mine, that they are not acting in our best interests, have to be re-evaluated and the ride is getting more interesting all the time. rj
